Welcome

I take great joy in assisting you as you create your perfect home (or office) space. Interior design has a reputation of being expensive and only for high end projects. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If you are investing in a home purchase or furnishing and décor products, then it is well worth your while to work with an interior designer/decorator.

An interior designer can help you become fully aware of your own tastes – colors, styles, textures. I can explore with you what creates beauty, inspiration, and relaxation in your home space. Psychology is clear that we all need and long for safety and security in our lives. Usually this refers to relationships. However, I maintain that your home also needs to be a secure base and haven from which you go forth into the world.

My desire is to work collaboratively with you. All decisions will be made together. The process is like creating a sculpture or a wonderful meal – it takes time, it takes exploring ideas and tastes, and it takes some playfulness, with a little risk thrown in if you wish.

Join me in creating your home and heart’s desire. Your story. Your home. Design it well.

Warmly,

Pamela

About Me

I have always been drawn to work with people. For years I practiced as a family therapist, collaborating with parents and children to help them find a more satisfying and healthy relationship. This career, in addition to two graduate degrees, helped me become a creative thinker. However, I always longed to find another creative outlet to express myself.

For years I have travelled the world. My greatest joys were taking in the colors, textures, and architecture of each place. India, Africa, Portugal, and Japan, amongst others, inspired my sense of beauty and the wonderful ways that small things can combine into something spectacular.

Eventually I found myself taking a single design course which quickly turned into a year long diploma. I relished every minute of the learning process. A whole other part of my brain was awakened.

Now I work regularly with realtors, staging and “redesigning” homes for sale. It is so satisfying to walk into a house, see the treasures there just waiting to be showcased, and then to transform the space into an uncluttered, soothing, beautiful home that prospective owners can easily project themselves into. So many owners, after a redesign of their house, have commented that they “don’t want to move now” because their home was transformed into a handsome space.

I also take great pleasure in working with young couples who are creating their first home together. It is interesting to meet a couple, with differing tastes and ideas, and then to find a happy middle where both feel they can settle into the arms of their home space. In contrast, I enjoy spending time with older clients, who are downsizing and yearning to combine their dearest possessions with a new and exciting palette of color and design.
